Medical Malpractice is the third leading cause of death in the United States.
As a Medical Malpractice law firm, Tittle & Perlmuter wants to raise awareness to this growing issue in the world of healthcare.
In 2017, over 55% of physicians reported they have been named in a medical malpractice lawsuit at some point in their career. In Ohio alone, over 210 claims for Medical Malpractice were filed and won by the injured party. Overall, approximately 30% of claims came as a result of death, and 15% were filed as a result of quadriplegic damage, brain injury, or lifelong care.
Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship aims to provide support for those affected by medical malpractice and to raise awareness to this important issue. - Upload a 500-600 word original essay on the following question: Why do you think it’s important to be a patient advocate in today’s health care industry? If applicable, describe a time in which you, or someone you know, experienced receiving poor medical care and what that experience taught you.
