Congratulations to our 2021 scholarship recipient, Alayna Gruesbeck! Find out more about our previous winners here!

Medical Malpractice is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States.

Most people are unaware of this shocking statistic. To raise awareness of this growing issue within the healthcare system and provide support for those affected, our very own Allen Tittle decided to take action. In 2019, he created the Allen Tittle Medical Malpractice Scholarship.

This scholarship is a recurring $1,000 scholarship to help graduating seniors, college, and grad students with tuition costs.

Eligibility

  • Must be a current high school senior, college, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled or will be enrolling in a 2–5-year post-secondary institution
  • Employees of Tittle & Perlmuter, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, or spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to apply
  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing

Application Requirements

  • Submit a 500–600-word essay response to the following prompt: Why do you think it’s important to be a patient advocate in today’s healthcare industry? If applicable, describe a time in which you or someone you know received poor medical care and what that experience taught you.
  • Submit a professional resume that lists both your professional and academic experience
  • Submit a transcript from your current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as their most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university
