Cleveland, Ohio – November 9, 2016 – Attorney Allen Tittle from Tittle & Perlmuter, along with attorney Ken Knabe, recently helped a single mother injured in a car accident win a $75,000 verdict, after only being offered $2,500 previously to settle the claim, following a four-day civil trial in Cuyahoga County.

The single mother was rear-ended at a speed of approximately 25-mph and suffered intense neck pain immediately following. After several medical evaluations, it was determined that she suffered from a bulging disc as a result of the accident – a condition that would affect her permanently. As a result of the injury sustained in the car crash, the injured party often would suffer from muscle spasms that affected her everyday activities.

Although the negligence of the other driver was admitted, a trial still took place regarding the issue of damages, as the Defendant and her insurance company offered only $2,500 to settle the case. Throughout the trial, the insurance company’s defense lawyers painted the young woman as an “opportunistic liar” – something Attorney Tittle did not take lightly. After the trial, Attorney Tittle said the following “I am sick of insurance companies minimizing my client’s injuries. Sometimes, you just have to take a stand – I think this verdict will help do that.”

The case is still currently pending as Attorney Tittle has filed a Motion in the Court requesting prejudgment interest on the verdict dating back to the day of the accident. Prejudgment interest is interest that accrues on the amount of a legal award from the time the injury occurs to the time judgment is entered by the Court.

The case is captioned Kaylee Pritchett v. Ann Jones, et al., Cuyahoga County Case No. CV-15-844632.

Allen Tittle

  • I was in a car accident. The insurance company only offered $2,500 to settle my car case. Attorney Allen Tittle took the matter to trial, and after four days, obtained a jury verdict of $75,000 which is 30 times more than what I was offered. He fights for his clients and obtains justice. I would highly recommend him.
  • Allen was professional, conscientious and well organized. Allen's research of my case produced results in which he was able to obtain a copy of a video from the grocery store and subpoenaed a witness that substantiated my claim and proved that I was in fact struck by the vehicle and injured, which he presented in the deposition. This resulted in a successful settlement in my favor
  • What I liked best about Tittle & Perlmuter was the prompt return of phone calls, always knowing when paperwork had been sent, and knowing I could call anytime and get my questions answered.
