Allied Health & Chiropractic

Dr. Ty Dahodwala opened Allied Health and Chiropractic (AHC) at Lutheran Hospital in 2002 and remained in Lutheran for 11 years. In 2013, Dr. Dahodwala moved the practice to the current location, a larger, stand-alone building on West 25th St. in Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Dahodwala completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He became chief of Chiropractic Medicine at Lutheran Hospital in 2017.
Dr. Dahodwala and his team pride themselves on providing a variety of services that allow the patient to get a well-rounded treatment experience. Combining chiropractic services and physical therapy, professions that can sometimes conflict, is beneficial to their patients in that they can come in and get treatment from a physical therapist AND  get adjusted by the chiropractor instead of getting one or the other like a traditional office.
Currently, AHC has 15-20 employees including four nurse practitioners who collaborate with an MD to offer trigger point injections and joint injections as well as three chiropractors. The newest chiropractor, Eric Wolk, joined AHC in January of 2016 after completing his studies at Penn State and New York Chiropractic College.
The medical field is in Eric’s blood- his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all MD’s. Growing up around his father, a physiatrist (rehab specialist), Eric saw everything his practice offered- from chiropractic and acupuncture services to massage therapy and exercise physiology treatments and knew he wanted to get into a similar profession. He loved the idea of working with people from all demographics- from car accident victims to professional athletes and everything in between.
As an active runner and fourth-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, a karate-based Korean martial art, Eric has always been an athlete and knows the importance of “practicing what you preach”.
Dr. Wolk explains that his favorite part of his job is educating and empowering people. “I try and educate them [my patients] that the mental component of this care is important- it really does affect the physical outcome. Let’s focus on what’s helping and what isn’t helping. What can you do now that you couldn’t do last week? Let’s build from that.”

“There’s always hope. There’s always going to be the ability to get better.” -Eric Wolk
